Drum Lesson Structure
At Menai Music, our drum curriculum is designed to provide a solid foundation in technique, theory, and practical skills. Students will meet with their instructor once a week for 30 minutes, following the standard school term schedule with breaks during holidays.
Each lesson is tailored to the individual, ensuring steady progress. Throughout the term, we'll cover various aspects of drumming, including rhythm, grooves, reading music notation, improvisation, and more.

Our beginner classes start at $38 (inc GST) for one-on-one private tuition.

Any drum that students can practice on regularly between lessons will be fine.
We recommend electronic drums for beginners because they’re more family-friendly.
But beware: there is a big difference in quality out there, so make sure you speak to us before you buy a kit.
