About Menai Music
We’ve been sharing our passion for music for over 15 years
Music is a gift we share with friends and family, to express our joy and creativity.
At Menai Music, we truly believe that music is so much more than just notes on a page. It’s a language of the soul, a way to connect with others and express our deepest emotions. That’s why our approach to music education is all about unlocking each student's unique creativity and passion.
We’re not your typical, stuffy music school. Instead, we pride ourselves on creating a fun, supportive environment where students of all ages can explore their musical interests and grow at their own pace.
Whether you're a young rocker or an adult rediscovering your musical roots, our expert teachers will work with you to craft lessons tailored to your goals and learning style.
Our story began in 2008
Menai Music was born out of a simple desire – to keep the joy of music alive. In 2008, when a local music school closed its doors, our founder Craig Woodward refused to let those passionate students be left without a musical home. And so, with a handful of dedicated families, he started something truly special.
Over 15 years later, that initial spark has grown into a thriving community of music lovers. While our school has expanded, our core values remain the same – fostering creativity, embracing each student’s quirks, and sharing an infectious love for music. Many of our students stay with us from primary school all the way through to the HSC, becoming part of the Menai Music family.
“I love Menai Music because they embrace our quirky family and work with us to help the kids enjoy music.”
So if you’re looking for more than just another music lesson, come experience the Menai Magic for yourself. We can’t wait to add your unique voice to our musical journey!
A musical home for all
At Menai Music, our doors are wide open to everyone. We’re committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming space that celebrates the rich diversity of our community.
In the spirit of reconciliation, we pay respect to the Traditional Custodians of this land and their enduring connections. We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
No matter your cultural background, faith, age, gender, sexual identity or ability, you have a home here. Our school is a discrimination-free zone where all are respected and can feel safe to express themselves through music.
Our differences are what make the Menai Music family so vibrantly creative. So come as you are, and let’s make some beautiful noise together!
